.. _NICAM-DYAMOND-WINTER: NICAM ======================================== **Provided by** Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC), JP Model description ----------------- NICAM is a non-hydrostatic icosahedral atmospheric model (`Tomita and Satoh, 2004 `__) with an explicit cloud microphysics scheme (`Tomita, 2008 `__). The configuration used in the DYAMOND project is similar to that described by `Kodama et al. (2021) `__. Cloud-microphysics parameter settings were readjusted for improvement in representation of convective systems. The version NICAM.19 was used for the simulation, and the experiments were conducted on Fugaku.
