Efficient sub-setting
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The best way of sub-setting in multiple dimensions is the use of the :code:`select` operator ::

  cdo info -select,levidx=7,timestep=4 FILE

In some cases :code:`-delete` might be more efficient.
